The information provided from your search shows your ranking within your City Council District and does NOT guarantee employment.

If you are selected through the Memphis Office of Youth Services’ Lottery to participate in MPLOY or MAP, you will be contacted and given detailed instructions on your next steps. For those who are selected, your next step will be the submission of required documents. This is called our Verification. During Verification, you will be required to bring a COPY of the following required documents below. You are required to make a copy of ALL documents, for our records, prior to attending Verification. Copies will NOT be made at the time of submitting documents. We will NOT accept documents through email or mail.

The required documents are as follows:

• Photo Identification: You MUST submit a COPY of an unexpired government issued ID for the applicant, NOT the parent. We accept state issued IDs, driver’s licenses, passports or military IDs. You can get a state-issued photo identification card from your local DMV. Everyone is eligible for this ID, no matter the age. No other forms of ID will be accepted.

• Social Security Card: You MUST submit a COPY of your social security card. You can request a social security card by going to your local US Social Security Administration. Note: Requesting a new or replacement social security card could take weeks for processing. We will NOT accept application receipts from the Social Security Administration.

• Proof of Residency: You MUST submit a COPY of proof of residency. We will ONLY accept a utility bill, phone bill, cable bill, a mortgage statement or lease agreement. The proof of residency does NOT have to include the name of the applicant. It can include the name of the parent/legal guardian. The proof of residency document MUST be within the last 60 days (date visible) and reflect the current address (address visible) where the applicant resides. No other types of residency documents will be accepted.

• Proof of Education: For the Memphis Ambassadors Program (MAP), applicants MUST submit a copy of their most recent report card, which reflects their current GPA of 3.0 or higher. For the MPLOY Youth Summer Experience (MPLOY), applicants MUST submit a copy of a report card, progress report or transcript for the CURRENT school year. The name of the applicant must be visible. For those who have graduated high school, but are not enrolled in college, MPLOY will accept a copy of your diploma.
