The Memphis Office of Youth Services (MOYS) Golf Classic is designed to help continue programming for youth year-round. All proceeds will go to activities hosted by MOYS.

About the event

As we prepare for Mayor Jim Strickland’s Memphis Office of Youth Services 2nd Annual Golf Classic at Galloway Golf Course on Saturday, August 15, 2020, we are implementing Covid-19 precautionary measures.

Please note the following:

  • · Registration period is from July 6th – August 7th. ALL payments and team forms are due on August 11th.
  • · You will receive a confirmation email along with a pre-assigned Start Tee Time once we receive your registration/payment. Please make checks payable to MOYS Annual Golf Classic. You may mail your payments to The Memphis Office of Youth Services, Attn: Ike Griffith, 315 S. Hollywood Street, Memphis, TN 38104· 
  • To avoid congregating, each team will have staggering Start Tee Times. The Start Tee Times will start at 11:00 am and will be staggered at 10-minute intervals until 2:00 pm.
  •  If someone pays the day of the classic, make sure you let us know your team members’ names in advance so that you can still receive a pre-assigned Start Tee Time.  Please have one team member who will handle the registration process at the Check-In Table 20 minutes prior to your start time. We will only take cash or a check on the day of the classic. There will be no credit card machine.
  • During check-in each team member will receive a commentative Golf Classic mask.
  •  You may pick up your pre-packaged food in the registration area. We will also have staff runners to bring the food and drinks on the course.
  • There will be two players per cart.
  • The Club House will be closed and only opened for restroom usage.
  • There will be no Awards Ceremony at the Classic this year. However, winners will be notified by email and/or telephone that is provided to us on where to pick up their trophies.

Rules and Fees

The 4-person Scramble will be help at Galloway Golf Course on August 15,2020. Shotgun begins at 1 p.m. Event is open to all golfers.


$400 per Team 

$100 per Person 


Registration Persiod: July 6- August 7

Payment due date: August 11 


Trophies will be given to Championship Flight and First Flight.

Other categories include:

- Longest Drive

- Closest to the Pin

- Hole in One: $10,000
