Comcast hosted a community celebration to promote digital equity. The event was in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of Internet Essentials, Comcast’s low-cost broadband adoption program. As a part this ceremony, our Office of Youth Services’ MPLOY Program was awarded $10,000 and 200 Laptops. The Comcast grant donation will support the youth participants in the 2022 Summer MPLOY program.
MAP 2018 Wellness and Community Fair
The MAP Wellness Community Fair is an annual event in partnership with LeBonheur Community HIV Network. The event gives attendees a chance to engage with the community and participant in activities to check and manage their health. The fair included free flu shots, HIV testing, vision screenings, health screenings, hair cuts, yoga classes and so much more. Participants enjoyed music, giveaways, food trucks, and fun. The 2018 Wellness Community Fair was held at the Hickory Hill Community Center, on October 27.
